squarehappy does come to squarehappy.com

After years of free hosting on a forgettable subdomain address, it's time to move on to something more professional. squarehappy.com no longer forwards you to the true squarehappy site, but is now its true home.
There was pretty much only one thing holding me back from this conversion, the cost of hosting. Thanks to GoDaddy and others, domain names are dirt cheap at around $7 a year, but hosting at best will cost that a month, and for that price point you can expect lousy uptime and support. So I sucked it up and stuck with sh.illusioned.net, which I think has its own charms in an esoteric, underground kind of way. You could say that just a handful of people know about the site. For that reason, it's been hard to justify the expense. It's my own fault for complete lack of promotion, but first I must serve content so as to actually have something to promote.
Enter the Nearly Free Speech Network. Their hosting plan requires you to only pay for what you use, with no setup or DNS fees. Sounds too good to be true, but upon reading reviews around the internet I discovered that this was not the case in others' experience. Their pricing and payment plan is plenty convoluted and I'd imagine it's turned away more than few people weary of all the scams going around, but it seems to be this way for our benefit, to charge as little as possible and offer a variety of payment options.
So I'm going to take the plunge and transfer everything over to their hosting services. I've transferred $20 into my account with them, but I've heard of people stretching $10 over a year thanks to the paying only for what you use plan, which right now is set at $1 per gigabyte of bandwidth. squarehappy is a very low traffic site, so I should be set until they go under, at which point I'll hop into bed with the next hosting company crazy enough to offer such a price point.
Any attempts to visit sh.illusioned.net or any page within that domain should forward you directly to its corresponding squarehappy.com page immediately. You may have already realized this if you bothered to look at your address bar. If not, you're ripe for phishing. In any case, it's a seamless transition from one domain to the other, and all it took was about seven lines of code. Diety, I love PHP.
