If squarehappy somehow isn't enough for you, perhaps these delicacies will satisfy your hunger. The sites below further exemplify how I strive for clean, organized sites using semantic HTML with some CSS tricks thrown in for that fun and fancy free feeling. Or something involving standing under waterfalls in Ireland. I'm always looking to take on freelance work in web design and development, and maybe a long term position if the conditions are right. So if you like what you see feel free to contact me about putting these web-worn hands to work for you!
Quad City Images
Quad City Images brings high quality photographs of the Quad City metropolitan area (located in Iowa and Illinois, divided by the Mississippi River) to the internet. My goal for this site was to create an attractive and unobtrusive template with minimal loading time, and to allow the entire site to be accessible from every page. The design was created with CSS, leaving a clean HTML template file that the client can edit himself with no HTML experience.
www.quadcityimages.netViolence Art
Violence Art is an online art gallery featuring the work of my girlfriend. The site was built with a PHP & MySQL backbone and uses standards-compliant XHTML with CSS used for layout. The main emphasis in the creation of the site was for the artist to be able to add new art to the gallery herself using nothing more than an HTML form. The site features some tricky CSS hover effects and a unique navigation system based on art mediums. The design was also created by myself.
www.violenceart.comDonkeylips Fan Club
The Donkeylips Fan Club, or DLFC, was the former personal site of myself and my girlfriend. To this day it continues to be the largest source of actor Michael Bower information and media available on the internet. It's also proof that no pop culture icon is too obscure for an internet shrine. No programming on this one, just pure CSS and Donkeylips.
