The Donkeylips Fan Club

The Donkeylips Fan Club has maintained its might as a Michael Ray Bower mecca, the source for all things Bower as he inhabited the character of Eddie "Donkeylips" Gelfen on the 1990's Nickelodeon television show, Salute Your Shorts. Initially created as weblog for myself and my girlfriend, the DLFC is now its own entity. It is (for now) one page chock full of facts, insights, media, and skiplinks to bounce between them all. I spent hours sampling those legally dubious MP3s, so give them a listen and make prank calls using them.
After coming across Spires' Camp Anawanna site, I realized no adequate Donkeylips page existed, and having been a fan of the show throughout its run, I realized the internet had to have one permanent fixture devoted to this overweight icon. I decided that the DLFC would become the de facto Donkeylips knowledge base, trumping all challengers on all bases short of the official support of the man himself, and judging by this correspondence with Bower, it appears that I do. And if people want Donkeylips info and sound bytes, they don't really have a choice, do they?
I realize the design has absolutely nothing to do with Donkeylips or Salute Your Shorts. That's not liable to change. I may break the sections into separate pages, and squarehappy styles based off both the current and classic DLFC styles are in the works as well.
Amazingly enough, I receive a steady flow of visitors with Donkeylips fever, and the cure may be a page they're not able to find. Selecting what would remain on each page as a navigation fixture was difficult, and in the end, the DLFC did not make the cut. It was hidden away in the portfolio section of the site, likely causing thousands, if not tens of people to give up and try to find their Donkey fix on a different, inferior site. I felt it my duty, much like Violence Art before it, to write up the DLFC and give it the recognition it deserves. One day it may be featured prominently at the bottom of a navigational sidebar on a site with a PageRank of -2 again, so you should check back every day until that happens.
